We are so excited that you are interested in joining us for the 2020-2021 school year!

The JCS Show Choirs are known as currently being the only competing high school and middle school show choirs in the state of Kentucky! We believe that by achieving excellence in the performing arts, students can and will strive for excellence in all areas. We are committed to making the experience that our students, parents, and audience members have is exciting, professional, and entertaining. The JCS Show Choirs is where tradition and excellence meets innovation and opportunity.

Due to COVID-19, we will be holding auditions online this year using a different kind of process. If you have any questions or problems with submitting an audition online, please email Mr. Burton at brett.burton@jessamine.kyschools.us. We don't want you to not try out because you don't have access to the internet or are having trouble submitting. We will be more than happy to help out! Please pay careful attention to all of the information presented as it will help you have a successful experience and audition.

Crescendo - Middle School Show Choir (Grades 6-8)

• Student and parent must read the JCS Show Choirs Handbook.

• Student and parent must fill out the Audition Registration Form.

• Student must submit a VOCAL audition video to jcsduallynoted@gmail.com.

         For vocal auditions, please submit a video of you singing the National Anthem. You should sing without accompaniment and can sing it in any key that you would           like. You can video record in any way that you wish, but it must be in .MOV or .MP4 video formats. Since you are submitting a video, take as many tries as you                 want and submit what you think is your best work. Best of luck!

         For dance auditions, please submit a video of you dancing the required choreography. You should dance with the provided track that can be found on this page.           Be sure to take your time learning the choreography using the rehearsal videos on this page. You can video record in any way that you wish, but it must be in                   .MOV or .MP4 video formats. Since you are submitting a video, take as many tries as you want and submit what you think is your best work. Best of luck!
